Admitted to the practice of law in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Illinois, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for Maryland, the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Mr. Arquilla served on active duty in the U.S. Army for 26 years in the Judge Advocate General's Corps in a variety of important positions, including five years as a military trial judge in Europe and the United States, judge on the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals, staff judge advocate in South Korea, chief of the Army Legal Assistance Program, and chief of the Army Government Appellate Division. Before his military service, Mr. Arquilla served as a prosecutor in the Cook County States Attorney Office in Chicago, Illinois . Following military service, he served as a voting member of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel (LAMP). He has also served as the Chair of the Military Law Section of the Virginia State Bar. Mr. Arquilla graduated from the University of Illinois and earned his Juris Doctorate (law) degree from DePaul University in Chicago . He has been in private practice since 1997. His practice includes family law, criminal law, accident-injury law and wrongful death, and government and military law.
